I tried as much as I could for finding the differences between wordpress.com and blogger.com. Well. Those are the differences that I can think of so far.

If you are not very sure whether you should choose blogger or wordpress.com til now, I’d like to suggest you to try wordpress.com for your blog.

Because ~

  1. If your blog is gowning bigger and bigger, you might want to move to paid hosting. Then, WordPress might be the best way to do that. Because you can download the latest version of wordpress from wordpress.org or wordpress MU with free of charges. Then, you can easily export all of your posts and comments to XML file and import it to your new blogs. So, you won’t miss out anything. Plus, If you have custom domain then it’s more easy for you to move your blog to paid hosting. you won’t lost any of your readers. you won’t need to ask anybody to change the feed of your blog or your site’s url.
  2. Both WordPress MU or WordPress are open source so that you can be a part of development team.

Feel free to let me know if you found something that I missed out or you have suggestion/comment for this post.

UPDATE: Blogger supports widget too. (Thanks Myo Chau Htun and Elaine Vigneault )
