Things that make me disappointed these days

1. Windows 7 on Sony VAIO – VGN-C25G/B

I love technology. I love the most latest things when it comes to technology. This is what I am. I can’t control myself not to install Windows 7 on my machine as soon as it’s up on MSDN subscription downloads. then, CRASH!!  I don’t want to repeat how disappointed I am at that time. Some of my friends from Twitter know about that. I asked about that in Windows 7 Forum.

2. Firefox says “Using Internet Explorer is So 2006″ :(

Using Internet Explorer is So 2006? what the f**k! why did they mention “Internet Explorer”?? Why did they use other competitor’s name there? I’m not a Microsoft fanboy or anything. I will say the same thing if they use Opera or Google Chrome or any other browser. Insulting other by name is not cool. It seems like people from Firefox are proud of themself or something.

Yes. It was the day that I stopped using Firefox. I’ve been using it since long time back but I won’t use it anymore. I will miss Firefox and I will definitely miss Firebug but it’s over. I’m currently using Google Chrome until I found the browser that I like. Good Bye, Firefox!

My blog is 3 years old now!

Note: This post has been posted with back date since I couldn’t write anything on that day.

Hey there!!

My blog is 3 years old now. It was so fast!! I’m still feeling the day that I started this blog. As I wasn’t that familiar with any blogging software, I did a lot of searches and experiments for the blogging platform that I’m  going to use for my little blog. I tried quite a few platforms including blogger, wordpress, typepad and etc and I chose to use wordpress for blog. Yes. I’m still happy with wordpress (both wordpress.com and wordpress.org ) until now and I believe that I make the right choice.

Here is the stats for last year.

Stats

  • 582602 page views this year (960,549 – 377,947)
  • 1600 to 2000 page views per day
  • 889 comments (2,850 – 1,961)

What I’m doing these days….

Hello Everybody! How are you doing? I recently received some mails from some of you asking why I’ve disappeared in Silverlight Forum lately. Well, yes! I couldn’t participate in Silverlight forum that much these days. :(  Why? Because there are mainly two reasons behind.

Let me start with the first one. I recently changed my job. I started working as a IT consultant at Xuenn Pte Ltd and I will be working with .NET 3.5 (espcially: WPF(Windows Presentation Foundation), WCF(Windows Communication Foundation) and maybe, Silverlight too). I’m really happy to be a part of Xuenn. All people from that company are young, active and very cool.  As you all know, I’m big fan of Silverlight and was looking for Silverlight Developer Position in Singapore. But I found that the most of companies are not ready to use Silverlight for their products. So, I decided to play with WPF and WCF in future. I will be doing Silverlight also and maybe, I will be pushing my company to do some Silverlight products in future. :) As of now, I have to learn WPF, WCF and Prism as much as I can.

Here is another thing. I have joined the Prism Contrib project and will be start working with them very soon. Our team will have Live Meeting on July 22, 2008. Contributing to this project is my spare time work and I believe that I will get a lot of great experience from that project.

That’s all what I was doing lately. What about you? What are you doing these days? I didn’t read Silverlight Forum that much these days so I think I might miss out some importants news or problems/workarouds or tips or etc. Please tell me if I miss out something from Silverlight community. :)
